Circular Furniture Labs is an initiative of the CirCLER project. This activity is designed to promote accessibility, dissemination, and the practical use of the results, knowledge and practices achieved within the project, ensuring they directly benefit the sector.
To guarantee greater visibility and easier access to the project results, the main stakeholders will be involved in the "Circular Furniture Labs”.
Their role will be to foster interest in the new occupational profile of "Circular Economy Transition Manager" developed for EQF levels 4, 5 and 6, and to encourage participation in the training modules created within the project. These modules address current needs for green, digital and transversal skills, aligned with EU policies and principles for VET and HE (ECTS, EQF, EQAVET).
Stakeholders who may participate in the "Circular Furniture Labs" include:
- Workers, professionals, unemployed individuals, and students in the furniture sector;
- Furniture companies;
- VET providers and HEIs;
- VET regional and national authorities;
- Decision makers of companies’ associations, chambers and trade unions;
- EU VET experts and teachers/professors;
- Regional, National, European institutions.
Each project partner will set up a Lab in their country to keep members updated and involved in project progress. These Circular Furniture Labs, together with the Furniture Labs created within the ALLVIEW, EQ-WOOD, INTRIDE, and DITRAMA projects, will also assist and support the CirCLER project in disseminating information and engaging relevant stakeholders to raise awareness of the project's results.
The planned meetings, hosted online by each partner country, will address topics related to the circular economy of the sector and their relevance for VET and HE institutions. These meetings will be organised at least three times during the last two years of the project, following an agenda defined by each participating country. In this way, the Labs will provide essential contributions from the furniture sector at both national and European levels, supporting the validation and exploitation of the CirCLER project results.
The first webinar, "Circular Furniture Labs: 30 strategies, 300 practical cases: a practical guide to sustainability in interior design," organised by FederlegnoArredo, will take place on 30 September 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00. The event will present the Guide developed within the FurnCIRCLE project, which provides a concrete and practical overview of the main strategies for companies’ circular transition. The webinar will present 300 real-life examples of companies from across Europe that have demonstrated how innovation, design and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
This initiative represents a valuable opportunity for professionals, designers and companies who want to improve their production practices and contribute to the ecological transition of the furniture sector.
The webinar will be held in Italian, is free of charge and open to all upon registration at the following link: https://zoom.us/j/98222828389
